Details of the original alert: The Lane Regional Air Protection Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for western Lane County, which is IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING. Periods of intermittent smoke are expected in eastern Lane County, including Eugene-Springfield. An Air Quality Advisory for Smoke remains in effect. Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels at times through this evening. Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health problems.
