Early Friday, Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh was hit by an avalanche on the snow-covered Dhauladhar Hills.<br />A video captured by PTI news agency showed the powerful slide cascading down the mountains. No casualties have been reported so far.<br />The avalanche comes after heavy rains in the first week of October, which brought a sudden shift in the weather and snowfall in several districts including Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, and Kinnaur.<br />Earlier this week, a landslide in Bilaspur district struck a private bus in Barthi village, about 100 km from capital city - Shimla, killing 18 people.<br />Since the monsoon began on June 20, nearly 470 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents across Himachal Pradesh.
