Infection Hazard - Anthrax

A resident of Ikhtamir soum (settlement) of Arkhangai Province of Mongolia has been diagnosed with anthrax, TASS was told by the aforesaid province's center for the study of zoonotic infections.<br />"A resident of Ikhtamir soum participated in the slaughter of more than 60 cattle and was isolated in the infectious diseases department of the province's hospital on suspicion of anthrax. The tests confirmed the skin form. A partial quarantine has been imposed at the patient's family's place of residence. As of September 23, no one has fallen ill, and the situation is under control," reported the aforementioned center.
