At least six people were killed and 19 others injured on Tuesday when a powerful explosion struck near Pishin Stop in Quetta.<br />Rescue officials said the blast occurred close to a local passenger bus, leaving both commuters and pedestrians among the casualties.<br />The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Quetta, where several remain in critical condition.<br />The explosion was powerful enough to shatter the windows and doors of nearby buildings.<br />Security forces cordoned off the site and launched an investigation. The nature of the explosion has not yet been confirmed.<br />Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the Quetta blast, praising the swift and effective response of security forces.<br />He said four terrorists were “sent to hell” in the operation, adding that terrorists could not weaken the nation’s resolve through cowardly acts. “The sacrifices of the people and security institutions will not go in vain,” Bugti said.<br />The chief minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to making Balochistan peaceful and secure. He also expressed solidarity with the families of those martyred in the attack and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
