Six people, including five Levies Force personnel, were injured on Monday in a remote-controlled bomb blast targeting the convoy of Kech Deputy Commissioner (DC) Major (retd) Bashir Barech, police said.According to Kech SSP Captain (retd) Zohaib Mohsin, the explosion occurred on Press Club Road when a bomb planted in a motorcycle was detonated via remote control as the DC’s convoy passed through the area. The DC narrowly escaped the attack unhurt, while one of the convoy’s vehicles sustained severe damage.Police officials confirmed that five Levies personnel escorting the DC and a passerby were injured in the blast. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.Following the incident, police and Frontier Corps personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Investigators are working to determine those responsible for planting the explosive device.<br />The attack marks yet another incident of violence targeting government officials in Balochistan, where security personnel frequently face militant threats. Authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
